Coaching has become a commodity. Everyone has one (or four) and a lot of people consider themselves to be one (hi, that’s us—we’re coaches). “Coaching” has become this catch-all word for a range of skills and approaches.
“Coach” is a title that can describe a therapist or an athlete, and every role in between.
...So is SNP's version of coaching right for you?
Looking for kudos and compliments?
We're not for you.
Want to talk about your feelings, a lot?
We're not for you.
Have it all figured out, but want a coach because “everyone has a coach?”
We're (definitely) not for you.
"SNP is truly a trusted advisor. They take the time to listen, bring creative perspectives to our global team, and always deliver with excellence."

About Coaching with SNP
A POINT OF VIEW
We have a point of view. A point of view rooted in 30 years of experience working with global leaders. If we don’t tell you, who will? (no one). We are the person you want in your corner. The one who lets you know when you have spinach in your teeth. The one who suggests that your presentation doesn’t make sense. The one who tells you that you’re being a jerk. And we’ll work through recommendations to fix whatever is getting in your way. We’ll give you the honesty that you deserve.
But you have to do the hard work. Be the first to acknowledge when things didn’t go well. Be candid about your challenges. Come with potential solutions. Be willing to put things into practice, try a new approach, and lead in a new way.
…you don’t just have another “coach” in your corner—you have SNP.

"One-on-one SNP coaching has been one of the pillars of The APM (Associate Program Manager) program from its early days to the present. Current APMs often cite their SNP Coaches as instrumental to their growth and development on their paths to becoming the current and future leaders of Silicon Valley."
— Diana Ly

Our coaches are audience advocates, consulting with leaders and emerging leaders on career development, strategy, and—obviously—communication. They are skills-based. They have a point of view.
They believe that coaching is dependent on the connection and the trust built between coach and coachee.
We have an elite community of coaches. We ask a lot of our coaches—engagement, skills, training, dedication, and that isn’t for everyone. When you’re introduced to an SNP coach, it’s because we got to know you, your goals and what success looks like for you. And, we know our coaches and their expertise. There’s no fancy algorithm to match—we’re just introduce two humans.
We have coaches around the world. Our home base is San Francisco. Our homes are in Mountain View. Morocco. NYC. Tokyo. London. Los Angeles. And places in between. The geographic diversity brings a diversity of industries, experiences, languages, and culture.
Coaches come to SNP with experience. They’ve led people, teams, functions (some have led companies). Some run a parallel coaching practice that focuses on their speciality. We respect coaching certifications; we don’t ask for them. Regardless of background, coaches join SNP and go through our full onboarding process: values (accountability, service, curiosity), skills, and connections. Then: they coach…their SNP colleagues. That’s right. Before they are eligible to coach you, they spend time coaching SNPers, internally. Quality is our legacy, and the intensity of our coaching onboarding is a testament to that.
SNP's Coaching Process
You’ll often have two SNP team members involved in your coaching experience: one who will set up, coordinate, and manage your coaching package. The second—most importantly: your coach. And we don’t have an algorithm to match you with the right coach. We go—as they say—old school. We’ll get to know you, in your own voice, and then introduce you to the right SNP coach from our elite coaching community.
After the introduction, your first, 30-minute introductory session is on us. Get to know your coach. Share more about yourself, and maybe even coordinate calendars to get your sessions scheduled. Then: you get to work.
Tap your inner Braveheart. Discover your unique voice and captivate your audience with SNP speaker coaching. Our coaches work with you to achieve your specific goals. Whether you want to refine your executive presence, deliver compelling presentations, or motivate your audience to action (minus the horses and rolling Scottish Highlands and whatnot).
Enter SNP. Exeunt all the dull content. Whether it’s a word-for-word script for a video or an outline for a panelist interview, we’ll help you get the content just right.
Sure, you know it’s the next big thing… Does your audience? Make sure your team is on the same page with a Core Pitch. Whether it’s about a single product or the entire company, this is a concise, focused message supported by visuals to help anyone and everyone tell the same story.
Unless you’re selling encyclopedias, we’ve got you covered. It ain’t gonna sell itself. Get some help with tailor-made white papers, case studies, testimonials, and more.
And just like that a comms strategy was born. Blogs are like Coke Classic—you can’t go wrong. Put your ideas out there, say something interesting, get people talking, generate web traffic, and uplevel your SEO to grow your audience.
Inspire. Be clear. And drive people to action.
We’ll get to know your audience, understand what they truly care about, and crystalize your core message with them in mind. (Oh, and we also do presentation design too.)
Remember when you thought it was a fad?
You know ‘em, you love ‘em, and we’re experts at producing ‘em—from pre-interviewing guests to writing scripts to sound design and social collateral. Tell a story with a narrative approach or make it interview-based to share insights from customers, learn from industry analysts, and keep teams up to speed on the latest and greatest.

Two words: audience engagement. Our team of writers keep the audience in mind. No monologues—just good content. A healthy dose of polls, live Q&A, and chat, makes sure the audience is actively involved until the end.
Not just another meeting. Eliminate the monotony of conference calls by turning monologues into conversations. Our virtual meetings are interactive so your audience will actually want to pay attention.

(Get a little funky with it using customized HTML emails that can really blow the lid off the box. Trust us, your audience will notice.)

GIFs or it didn’t happen.
Make it move. Make it eye-catching. From branding campaigns to internal celebrations and everything in between, use a gif to add a little pop.
Make it cohesive. Make it real.
See your name up in lights (or in a banner ad). Build up your brand with custom social templates, iconography, email signatures, and so much more.
“Sorry, I’m a visual learner”
The “I’m a visual learner.” Convey information efficiently and effectively. Make it beautiful so people actually want to look at it.
PowerPoint? More like Powerful point.
Keynotes, sales decks, investor pitch decks, and more—all designed with the audience in mind so your message will actually land and motivate people to action.
Who are you? What do you do? And why do you matter? Tell it like it is using anything from graphics to animation to interviews with leadership, new hires, and everyone in between.
Short. High energy. Celebratory. Create a living memory of an in-person event, like a conference, team offsite, a successful sales quarter, or an end-of-year lookback.
Let’s get a little abstract.
Your brand’s identity goes beyond products and services. A brand anthem captures the essence of your brand, telling its story, embodying its values, and evoking emotion. These videos resonate with your audience on a deeper level, inspiring loyalty and driving engagement.
Product. In action.
Let’s build an in-depth, efficient way to show off your product’s value to prospective customers. Detailed enough that there are no questions, but so simple that anyone can understand it.
Because the stakes are too high to play telephone.
The right hand’s gotta know what the left is doing. Make sure your teams stay aligned with direct addresses, leadership interviews, sales updates, and more.
Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.
Are you a DIYer at heart? We create all the video elements you need to make your very own branded videos from intros and outros to title cards and lower thirds.
Short and compelling. Ever been so excited about something that you can hardly find the words to explain it? Use an explainer video to make it short, informative, fun, and compelling.
Live event. Virtual event. Even hybrid. To make an impact you need to set the proper tone and energy. Get off on the right foot and everything else will fall into place.
Write with purpose. Be concise. Keep your audience in mind. It’s the considerate thing to do. Because whether it’s an executive summary, a pitch, or one out a thousand emails, we all have a lot to read. And if you can say it all without saying too much then people might actually read what you wrote and be motivated to action.
Build trust and accountability. By shifting our mindsets around proactivity and responsibility we can recognize our shortcomings and improve ourselves for the better.
Credibility. Reliability. Intimacy (get your mind out of the gutter). Self-orientation. There’s a lot that goes into building and maintaining trust. And you can’t build it passively. It takes effort. Focusing on someone else instead of yourself is admittedly a little unnatural. But trust leads to stronger relationships, more collaboration, more innovation, and greater success.
Sorry, there’s no silver bullet. No panacea. No Doc’s Cure-All tincture. Managing time is difficult. It’s also personal—everyone is different. Creating effective time management needs to reflect relevancy, effort, impact, and you.
Solve complex problems. Drive innovation. And keep your teams accountable. Trust us, it’s worth the effort to optimize your resources and harness the wisdom of your team. After all, you can’t do it alone.
Rocky said it best: It’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. Resilience and grit are muscles we can build if we know what to practice. Now let’s get ready to go the distance.
Getting your teams together for an offsite to bond and collaborate has always been important. And since you-know-what happened around March, 2020, it’s even more important. Let’s cultivate your company.
Lose-lose. Win-lose. Win-win. Yea, win-win—there we go. Negotiation shouldn’t be all about making sure you only get what you want. It ought to be collaborative and keep both sides top-of-mind.
Uncertainty is inevitable in our world. But that doesn’t mean we should let it slow us down. Contextualize the moment. Widen your view. Create a communication plan. And then get moving.
Hopefully you’re talking to the media for happy reasons. But it’s not always fun and games either way. It can be daunting. Word twisting. Fumbles. Slips. But there’s a lot you can do to properly prepare for all the media attention (whether it’s wanted or unwanted.)
Graduate from rumination to reflection. Recognize what triggers stress. And tackle difficult emotions head-on. All in an effort to increase self-awareness and empathy. It will make you a better leader, a better peer, and just a better all-around person.
The class title kinda says it all, don’t ya think? Whether you’re new to the management game or a seasoned veteran, there are essential skills you need to learn, build, maintain, and improve on in order to be a good manager. (Because we all have bad manager horror stories…)
What’s your personal brand? Who are you as a leader? How do you want to be perceived? These questions matter if we want to be effective and inspirational leaders. So let’s answer them.
Red, Green, Blue, Yellow. That’s how you communicate. Well, not exactly… Those colors represent communications styles and learning them helps teams work together more effectively. So which color are you?
It’s not about having a power trip. It’s about communicating strategically and thoughtfully. Because adapting your message, addressing objections, and getting buy-in is how you get things done.
The success of the team comes first. And effective coaching is a high-impact method for driving that success. But coaching doesn’t mean barking out commands. You have to suspend your expertise, guide people to discover the answer on their own, and weigh in with your perspective sparingly. Coaching as a management style not only helps you leverage relationships—it actually increases productivity and creates a better all-around culture.
But actually critical thinking. See unobvious connections. Problem Solve. Make Decisions. And recognize ways to advance your organization’s strategic goals.
If you need two just to tango then you’re going to need a lot more to build a product, go to market, create revenue, take the company public, and scale. You can’t go it alone (no “I” in team and all that). So you’ll need to motivate your team, learn how to delegate, coach, and recognize the achievements to keep your people going.
We’re all people and we’re all working together. So stuff happens. Maybe the stakes are high and so the tensions are even higher. Maybe it’s just a typical case of seeing things differently. Or maybe it’s personal. No matter what it is, leaders need to learn how to address conflict—gracefully and effectively.
Build trust. Create action. Advance the deal. By striving to learn more, surfacing objections, and leaning on dialogue skills we can all become more authentic sales people. After this you’ll be whistling on the elevator. (But don’t whistle on the elevator.)
What are your strengths? Your weaknesses? Where do you see opportunities or threats? It takes a concerted effort, but by assessing your own skills and seeking out developmental opportunities, you can identify your aspirations and map out a career path. If you’re already a leader, there’s even more to do—you have to navigate your career and support your team members.
More connection. More trust. That’s the cornerstone of effective teamwork and productive meetings. It’s also the secret to managing up. Whether it’s a new relationship, an age-old one, or one that needs a little TLC.
Stay on track. Stay focused. Meet deadlines. Being virtual can make it hard to build a culture of accountability. And teams that aren’t used to working solo might struggle with productivity. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
The road to closing a deal isn’t straight. Sales isn’t as simple as getting to a “yes” or “no.” It’s a relationship like any other and sometimes there’s tension. How you deal with that tension is what matters. Make it constructive, dig deeper with high impact questions, and get to the root of the relationship. Don’t just advance the deal—advance the relationship.
Own it. Choose to be accountable. Be intentionally proactive. Admit mistakes and be solution-oriented. But accountability can’t just be an afterthought. We also need to learn how to spot unaccountability and design our days in such a way that accountability is actually built in.
PM Essentials is dedicated to elevating product management through practical, actionable training. Our curriculum is designed for immediate application, covering topics such as: streamlining team meetings and perfecting the art of influencing without power.
The art of selling is the ability to establish a successful, professional relationship. Powerful Conversations spans the concepts of effective sales strategy, conversation, and active listening to transform salespeople from sellers into trusted partners.
Leadership is essential. Ergo, Leadership Essentials is essential. This curriculum covers the core skills any leader needs to be effective. From seeking understanding and creating clear content to being memorable and inspirational. We leverage practical and engaging skill-building exercises to develop good presence, learn how to establish trust, influence people, deliver hard feedback, and create your own brand of leadership that will take you to the next level.
We’ve worked with founders for over 30 years. (Before being a founder was cool.) And throughout all those years, we’ve seen first-hand how founders navigate uncertainty, adapt to changing markets, and inspire their teams. Then we realized that those skills can help anyone—both established and emerging leaders. Learn what it takes to think like a leader, build a team, develop a bias to action, and be relentless.
Public speaking. Death. Spiders. We can’t help you with those other two, but looking good in front of a room is our bread and butter. Look and feel more confident. Be more persuasive. And invest in your personal growth.
It’s never going to be a “fun” conversation. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be respectful, helpful, and thoughtful. Delivering hard feedback is an opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact on your team. Don’t waste it.
It’s new, it’s big, you’re excited, and you have a million things to say. But your audience will only hear 0.0003% of it. So what do you do—lose your message or lose your audience? Well-developed, concise content means you can have your cake and eat it too.
One-sided conversations aren’t fun. So why do we treat meetings like Shakespearian monologues? Participation is the key to better, more effective, more enjoyable meetings. Meetings people will actually want to go to. Imagine that.
