Stay on track. Stay focused. Meet deadlines. Being virtual can make it hard to build a culture of accountability. And teams that aren’t used to working solo might struggle with productivity. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
The road to closing a deal isn’t straight. Sales isn’t as simple as getting to a “yes” or “no.” It’s a relationship like any other and sometimes there’s tension. How you deal with that tension is what matters. Make it constructive, dig deeper with high impact questions, and get to the root of the relationship. Don’t just advance the deal—advance the relationship.
Own it. Choose to be accountable. Be intentionally proactive. Admit mistakes and be solution-oriented. But accountability can’t just be an afterthought. We also need to learn how to spot unaccountability and design our days in such a way that accountability is actually built in.
